Frequently Asked Questions
Which mesh size should I choose?
For general pump protection 20–40 mesh is usually sufficient. Drip irrigation and fine spray nozzles typically need 80–120 mesh. Tell us your nozzle or pump manufacturer's requirement and we will match the screen.
Can the screen be replaced without replacing the whole strainer?
Yes. All our strainers use a removable screen basket or element, so you only replace the screen — and we stock spare screens separately.
Do you offer transparent housings?
Yes, PVC and PP bodies are available in transparent or opaque versions. Transparent housings make it easy to see clogging and schedule cleaning.
What is the pressure drop across the strainer?
With a clean screen the pressure drop is typically 0.1–0.3 bar. We recommend cleaning when the differential rises noticeably; a drain plug makes this quick.
