Sandblast Coupling
Sandblast couplings are vital components in abrasive blasting systems, offering a secure and efficient connection between the blast hose and the nozzle holder. These couplings are specifically designed to withstand the extreme pressures and abrasive materials used in sandblasting applications.
Sandblast Coupling Supplier from China
Sandblast couplings are heavy-duty connectors designed for abrasive blasting hose, where standard camlocks wear out quickly under constant grit flow and high pressure.
Built from hardened malleable iron or steel with a bolted or lug-type lock, they clamp firmly onto thick-walled blast hose and resist the vibration and whip that occur during blasting operations.

Key Features
- Thick section body resists the extreme abrasion of sand, garnet and steel grit.
- Bolted design grips the hose cover without cutting through it under load.
- Safety lug versions prevent accidental uncoupling while the line is pressurised.
- Compatible with standard blast nozzles, holders and blast pots.
- Quick to fit and remove in the field with basic hand tools.
- Reusable — can be moved to a new length of hose when the hose wears out.
Application Scenarios
- Surface preparation: connecting blasting hose to pots and nozzles on shipyard and steel structure jobs.
- Concrete & stone cleaning: abrasive blasting of bridges, facades and floors.
- Foundry & fabrication: descaling castings, welds and fabricated assemblies.
- Tank & pipe maintenance: internal blasting during shutdown and refurbishment work.
- Rental fleets: blast pot hire and contractor equipment packages.
Customization & OEM Service
ShengYa supplies heavy-duty couplings for sandblast and abrasive hose to distributors, hose assemblers and OEM equipment builders worldwide. We support full customization:
- Size & specification: non-standard bore, band width or thread pitch built to your drawing.
- Material selection: carbon steel, stainless steel 304/316, brass, aluminium, PP or nylon to match the medium.
- Sealing & gasket: NBR, EPDM, Viton, PTFE or silicone gaskets for chemical, oil or food contact.
- Branding: laser-engraved logo, stamped part number, custom label and retail/wholesale packaging.
- Documentation: material certificate, dimensional report and pressure-test report on request.
Packaging & Delivery
Standard packing is polybag + inner box + export carton, or bulk-packed on request. Typical MOQ is 500 pcs per size for customized orders and 100 pcs for stocked sizes. Lead time is 7–15 days for stock and 20–30 days for customized production. Samples are available for evaluation before bulk order.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I stop the coupling leaking at the hose?
Make sure the hose is cut square, seated fully into the coupling body and that the bolts are tightened evenly in a cross pattern. Replace the rubber washer if it is cracked or compressed.
Which size coupling fits my blast hose?
Sandblast couplings are sized by the hose inner diameter, but the outside diameter varies with ply rating. Tell us your hose ID and ply and we will match the correct coupling.
Do I need a whip-check?
Yes. Safety cable whip-checks across every blast hose joint are strongly recommended and are required on many sites to prevent injury if a coupling fails.
Can I reuse the coupling when I replace the hose?
Yes, provided the body is not cracked or deeply worn and the bolts and washers are in good condition. Replace washers with every hose change.
